The Book is Almost Here!

In the summer of 2009, Wilmington, NC artist Clair Hartmann began an ambitious effort to paint one hundred dogs in one hundred days.

Her four-legged subjects were all visitors to her booth located at the Farmer's Market by the Cape Fear River, in
Wilmington's Historic District.

These dogs-about-town are showcased in her recently finished book,
"The Downtown Dog Project".

A labor of love, her book is a colorful collection of canines which dog lovers everywhere are sure to enjoy.
