Pet Portraits

Let's create a museum quality oil portrait that will become a cherished family heirloom!

A custom portrait by a professional artist is not merely a representation or likeness of a person or animal. The creative choices in color, style and presentation are balanced to present the sitter at their best, while creating a painting that stands on its own as a
work of art.

Most of the portraits I paint are done from the photos provided by the client. Send me as many as you can as it is helpful when choosing the best photo for the portrait, however, I only work from the one photo chosen. If the portrait is to be of more than one pet I can compose the painting from single photos of each pet. Let me know if you have a favorite photo and I will let you know if it is suitable to work from.

If you email them to me try to send them at the highest resolution possible. You can also mail them to me as prints or on a CD. I will return the prints to you along with the finished portrait.

You can email me at clairh@hartmanndesign.net with your requests or questions at anytime. I will try to get back to you within 24 hours.

Please let me know if you need the painting for a special occasion and I will try to accommodate you if possible. If you are interested in a portrait for Christmas I would suggest placing your order at least one month in advance.

When I have completed the portrait I will send you a digital copy via email. You will then have the opportunity to accept the painting or suggest changes to be made. When these changes are complete I will again send you another digital photo via email for your approval.

Drying time usually takes about two weeks.

Framing is available at an extra charge and can be discussed at time of ordering.
